Dave has benefited from being raised in a family of tradesmen. Although sometimes not by choice (like cleaning up job sites at the age of 12), he was introduced to the world of construction at a very young age. While his watching and learning started in his childhood, his construction roots in stonework and masonry began at the age of 18.
After working summers while attaining a degree in Economics at Laurier University, he began to understand that building was his true passion. Rather than pursuing a career in his field of Economics, he decided to branch out from his background in masonry into the world of construction, specifically fine home renovations, in 2004.
With over 130 renovation projects under his belt, Dave has a sound competence in many areas of construction and prides himself on doing a job right the first time. He conveys his passion for building through his attention to detail and his commitment to realizing the vision of each project.
Carpentry is challenging and satisfying work, where the ability to visualize, problem solve and make quick decisions is of great importance; Curtis makes these complex situations look all too easy. When Curtis isn’t banging on his drums he is busy putting his degree in Carpentry, from Conestoga College, to good use. His 12 years of carpentry experience both as an independent business owner and as a subcontractor for high-end builders has honed his carpentry skills greatly. While his expertise lies in structural framing, and interior and exterior finishes, his wide-ranging experience has allowed him to excel in many areas of construction. Design is also of great interest to Curtis and to ensure that every customer’s vision comes to fruition, he works hand in hand throughout the building process to help foster creative building solutions. He takes pride in his attention to detail and quality craftsmanship at all stages of a project in order to ensure that every project will exceed expectations.
